"Mountains Majesty

"Pen-&-Ink Artist Martin J Benoit, WFA spent two winters in the Tahoe area working at a local ski resort. On his off days, he traveled around the lake, photographing and exploring, knowing one day he would produce a work of Lake Tahoe. That work, entitled "Mountains Majesty", is a view through Ponderosa pines of the northeastern part of the lake toward Incline Village. Snow-capped mountain tops loosely reflect on the Lake's surface. Crystal clear water in the foreground is accomplished in pen-&-ink by drawing the shadows of the ripples of the water on the shallow lake bottom near the shore and with a slight darkening of the rock surfaces below the water. The result is a spacious and highly defined work showing the diverse beauty of Lake Tahoe."
